SiChuan · Dazhou Recluse
The Dazhou Recluse project, situated in Guang’an, Sichuan, China, involves the owner’s aspiration to rebuild the ancestral home to accommodate his mother living alone and for his and his sister’s visits back home. The design scope encompasses residential buildings, gardens, and interior spaces. YuQiang Group, while meeting the basic needs of a three-generation family, has enriched the space with communal areas such as a chess and card room, yoga studio, study, and meditation hall. Balancing the connection between interior spaces and nature, the project integrates modern design philosophies with traditional elements found in Oriental culture gardens, verandas, and residential architecture, inviting nature into the home and creating a “landscape garden” that harmoniously interacts with its natural surroundings.
