ShenZhen · Galaxy Moonbay Clubhouse
Located in the Guangming Central District of Shenzhen, the Galaxy Moonbay Clubhouse is envisioned as a mixed-use complex, encompassing high-end residences, LOFT apartments, commercial spaces, and hotels, among other formats. Guided by a user-oriented mindset, YuQiang Group extends the shared functions of the community with the concept of “LE SPACE,” directing the design of the tower’s structural void to accommodate various scenes such as socializing, sports, and work. This becomes a vital carrier to energize community life, evolving into a new type of space that meets the diversified needs of young clientele. “LE SPACE,” which stands for Life Extension Space, is a concept extended from the shared functions of the community, driven by a user-oriented mindset from YuQiang & Partners. It acts as the “HUB” - a term denoting “center” or “nexus” - serving the integration and sharing role within the community, functioning as a “charging station, a central hub” for community life.
Focusing on the necessities of home office during the pandemic, the site is equipped with discussion areas, meeting rooms, and open workspaces, providing a lightweight office location for freelancers, those working from home, and companies in their early stages—a community space that’s low in cost and ready for immediate occupation. A slight configuration of the staggered walls readily presents intriguing separations, realizing a flexible “office mix.” Here, surrounded by glass, meeting rooms offer an array of formal and secluded corners.
This place is indispensable for young people of Generation Z, representing our vision of congregating at home, without the need to go outside. “Instead of saying this is a project that expands the functions of an overhead layer, it’s more apt to say it’s a journey to excavate the space’s potential.” This “LE SPACE” overhead concept is directed towards new markets and youthful trends, inclusively accommodating all demands in a shared manner. We foresee an increased blending of such spaces into our work and our lives, always believing that each space harbors potential value unanticipated.
