HaiKou · China Overseas International Center
In adherence to a human-centered design philosophy, YuQiang & Partners crafted the China Overseas International Center, an office environment that integrates ecology, art, and technology. Taking into account the permanence and dynamism of spatial functionality, the design seamlessly blends industrial aesthetics with a wealth of natural elements to create an ideal workplace that offers long-term value, comfort, openness, and high flexibility.
Incorporating artistic and ecological languages, and utilizing solid and void wall treatments along with unobtrusive separation techniques, the design ignites visitors’ desire to explore, leading them deeper into the space for renewed experiences and shaping their perceptions. A series of art installations crafted from metal and greenery are suspended in the air, embodying a space intricately intertwined with nature and natural elements. The concept of coexistence with nature aligns with the evolving needs for office spaces, imbuing the entire office area with a spirit of freedom, healing, and people-first principles, seamlessly integrating healthy work philosophies into the design. The discussion areas and bar areas are not distinctly separated, with the open spatial form lending the venue a sense of sharing, fluidity, and flexibility. Employee workspaces, private offices, and meeting rooms are arranged logically with a circular flow, making collaboration and communication faster and fostering possibilities for more efficient work practices.
