ShenZhen · Mixc World Member Center
The Mixc World Member Center in Shenzhen is a microcosm of the city’s commercial artistry, strategically located on the L1 level of the mall. Entrusted with both the hard and soft design of this space, YuQiang Group has masterfully orchestrated the main spacious area with the concept of “volumetric presence.” Each segment, surrounded by “boxes” composed of brass and glass bricks, demarcates various functional areas with different foundational blocks. This technique showcases an outer core that is not only distinctive and refined but also adaptable within the Mixc World Member Center.
As a “haute couture private space,” its target audience’s artistic awareness and visual preferences tend towards the “sophisticated” and “personal,” demanding an embracing space that fosters an open perspective for seeking common ground amidst diversity, encompassing all scenes and stories. To some extent, Shenzhen’s Mixc World can be viewed as a miniature of Shenzhen’s commercial art. Unlike traditional commercial entities, it transcends mere material consumption, enriching artistic and lifestyle perspectives. The designers dominate the main spatial vision with the concept of “volumetric presence.” Each volume, encased by “boxes” made of brass, glass bricks, and other materials, correlates to different functional areas with distinct foundational blocks, guiding the customers’ movement through a progressively unfolding experience. The color and material of each volume are differentiated based on their functional scene, offering diverse visual experiences: the entrance and water bar area are open and serve as the core zone, presenting an exquisitely privileged feeling with their clear visuals; the negotiation area is designed as the focal point of the space, thus the modules are left white to foster deep communication. To break through the enclosed feeling of the whole indoor space, the entrance welcome and the bar’s background wall use staggered glass bricks to create a prism effect of light, casting a silhouette that is both hidden and revealing, concealing without muting. Various negotiation areas are spaced throughout, including casual conversation corners formed by sofa chairs and small coffee tables, and a more business-oriented area with individual chairs and meeting tables.
As a vital medium for connecting with members, the designers start from every detail within the space, harmonizing the atmosphere between the small and large areas, striking a balance between artistic value and commercial stature beyond the basic functional requirements.
