The Xiaomeisha area renovation represents Shenzhen’s first urban renewal project with a cultural and tourist backdrop, also serving as a crucial zone in Shenzhen’s ambition to become a world-class tourist destination. The SDG Xiaomeisha Art Center, as a key part of this layout, has set a high design standard with YuQiang & Partners aiming to create a “Global Bay Area Artistic Life Experience Museum”. The original two-story space has been transformed, with the atrium opened up to reconstruct the coastal strolling experience. The first floor integrates exhibitions, installations, multimedia, and other artistic mediums, conveying the artistic influence of the Xiaomeisha area. The basement level blends coffee, floral art, and rest spaces, creating a primary urban resort lifestyle scene nestled between the mountains and the sea.
